First vegetable trug delivered

The first vegetable trug was delivered to a delighted Twyford resident in November.
Hillier's Andy McIndoe helped her select the plants, and it has now been planted up.

Twyford WI Table Sale

The Colden Common Shed was represented at the Twyford WI Table Sale in the Parish Hall on Saturday 7th November.
We were selling our 3 tier cake stands in aid of fund raising for the shed, and to get the word about.

Visit to Bletchley Park

Our first shed outing on the 3rd November to Bletchley Park.
Adrian drove the Colden Common Community bus, with a full complement of 16 (including 2 wives).
We were on-site from just after 11:30 till 15:15, but found that this was not nearly enough time to see everything there.
We opted to have a tour, which proved to be very interesting and put Bletchley into a context which allowed a far better understanding of the work there.
The group tickets we got are actually an annual season ticket - I think most of the group will be taking advantage to return to see all the rest of the exhibitions that couldn't be fitted in on this visit.
With the new Trust that has been formed, the National Computing Museum at the park is now a separate enterprise but well worth a visit as well.

All in all, a very successful first outing and hopefully the first of many.

Cribbage Evening

An evening of Cribbage and conversation in the pavilion on Wednesday evening the 22nd. Present were Adrian & Barbara Kelly, Steve Badham, Chris Morris, David Lacey and Peter Eales. This event was a taster (and test run) for possible future evening social events for the shed members, and was deemed a success.
